    "Famunda Cheese."

Everyone knows the proper term is "Smegma."

Oh my gosh, I'm so with you on that one. Please make the gate shit STOP.

"Pedestrian" to describe an average performance... it's creeping up there on the overuse meter.

****-gate makes me crazy. And, someone has got to tell nearly every sports broadcaster in the world that “ironically” does not mean “coincidentally.” Or, “shitty luck.”

I've learned through the years when someone uses "basically" in a sentence they are transferring their own biases when relating something. You hear it a lot in talk radio and on cable news. It's a good bs detector. If you have to use the word, it means you can't back up what you are saying without it.
Bush is basically turning America into fascist state
The Democrats basically said we want to lose this war
The league is basically saying go ahead and cheat.

Ironically, I was just thinking about this the other day.

I've also had writers turn in stuff that said, "Johnny Glove made a web gem in the field," "Tim Runner's touchdown run would have made an ESPN highlight reel," or referring to someone as having "Playstation moves."
I couldn't cut that stuff quickly enough. A thousand thanks to the WWL.

    OK, here's one.

"James Jones hit a hole on the left side and pranced his way 37 yards for the Campbellsoups' last score."

I'm sorry. "Pranced" should only be used in dressage, as in show horse events. I don't believe Secretariat (RIP) ever "pranced" one damn time on the race track. In retirement? Probably a lot. :)

"set a new record" -- Can you set an old one?<p>
"saw action" -- In my book, if you're seeing a lot of action, then you're probably watching from the bench

Hate it, hate it, hate it.

As well as, for the second time in as many days ... how many is second?

Not to mention, both sides of the ball. I've never seen "sides: on any ball.

And I'll also add "the fourth quarter saw....." The fourth quarter does not have eyes!
