Well, to be fair, who gives a shit about Favre anymore?

"Ooh, will he come back? Won't he?" It doesn't matter. Dude's done, he's washed up, bring on retirement. There is no way he can successfully turn a team into a championship contender and at this point he's only hanging around because he doesn't know what else to do with himself.

Lange, on the other hand, has a NYT best seller on his hands, is one of the top stand up comics in the country and is on the nation's best morning radio show.

That anyone talks about anything from this joke of a program should be reason enough for Buck to feel pleased.

I thought he was hilarious. That panel would have been a colossal bore without Lange.

The crowd was clearly on Lange's side.

Lange is one of the best talk show guests around. His Bob Uecker stories on Letterman were one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

He clearly saw that Buck had no sense of humor and he ran with that.

On Stern this morning Lange said he was told by a producer of the Buck show if Rudd and the other guy were flat and boring, he was to go nuts.

    He went nuts.

    Tebow bless him.

Another classic case requiring use of the always-useful question:

    How can you take sides?

Somebody offended by a Randy Moss mock mooning agreed to have Lange on his show? Really!?!

    Bingo. Unscripted, my ass.

"Ross Greenburg, the president of HBO Sports, added: “Live television is all about risk-reward. We knew all about Artie Lange when he was booked. We knew there was a risk factor in where he would go and where he would take us.”

The real point is, anyone paying to watch Joe Buck deserves what they get.

It wasn't that bad, and the Jack Buck stories were actually pretty funny.

    Sigh.

Another feather in the cap for the act-like-a-prick-get-rewarded/applauded-for-it state of the world.
