Armageddon at ESPN today

    Maybe "flex" was the wrong term. But when ABC had MNF, it had a lot more clout in getting good matchups than ESPN does now.

    And before the "single example as totality" crowd strikes -- yes, there were clunker games even when ABC had MNF.

    You know, when they dropped that bucket of cash down, it was almost as if they were doing exactly that. It seemed arrogant then, and stupid now.
