Company: Arizona Daily Star / StarNet
    Position: Seeking online producer
    Location: Tucson, Arizona
    Job Status: Full-time
    Salary: Negotiable
    Ad Expires: July 26, 2007
    Job ID: 648472
    Website: http://www.azstarnet.com

    Description:
StarNet, the online site of the Arizona Daily Star, has an immediate opening for an online content producer. The job involves blogging, editing, and creating video or audio segments and other online content. StarNet is part of a news operation, so the ability to follow journalistic standards and practices is a must.

Solid HTML skills are needed for this job. The ideal candidate would be familiar with a wide range of software including Final Cut Pro, FTP and Photoshop.

This is a news position, and therefore requires flexibility in shift hours and days off. Expect to work some nights and weekends.

Teamwork is essential at StarNet, and producers must show the ability to work in concert with other personnel at both StarNet and the Arizona Daily Star to accomplish goals.

Sports coverage is a key part of our site. The successful applicant will understand and follow at least some of the major pro and college sports. If you hate sports, this isn't the job for you.

Those interested in the position should contact John Bolton, online editor, at (520) 618-7868 or bolton@azstarnet.com.
