Conversion day is my 40th. I'm trying to think of a good theme party that would tie in.

Invite Drip's mom.. she's behind the times too.

 

She's not behind the times. She doesn't watch TV so there is no need for cable. As for the phone, she enjoyed having a rotary one.

 

Drip, have you checked with your neighbors?

They might need help getting plugged into this new input.

 

The best part is when she takes the spoon and tries to put it into the surge protector.

 

I do. About eight years ago, the local cable cabal pissed me off and I dropped their service out of spite. Then, after a few weeks with only over-the-air and all the books I'd been meaning to read... I realized that I didn't really need cable. I'm perfectly happy with just the networks (especially the local PBS that heavily features BBC shows).

 

I do when there is a storm, the problem is with digital TV the picture gets messed up the whole thing cuts out. With antenna, I could watch and see if a tornado was going to smote me off the world.
After February, I just have to go outside and stare.
