Are Vegas cops treading too lightly with OJ?

Does Nevada even allow cameras in the courtroom?

You face a lot of time when you're convicted.

Usually, the line is something like this: "If convicted, Simpson faces a long time in the slammer and away from the Goldman family."

At the time of the comment, Juice hadn't even had his bail hearing.

And I meant attention-chasing, not ambulance-chasing, though many times they're one and the same.

I love that OJ is saying he was conducting his own sting operation to get his stuff back. Two things:

    1. His success ratio at solving crimes is 0-for-1 (didn't find the real killer yet).

    2. Thought he wasn't supposed to have "stuff" ... that any sports memorabilia is to be sold and a check cut to the Goldmans.

    From one Simpson story:

On Sunday, two guard dogs stood watch at [Simpson's home in Florida]. Their barks could be heard through closed car windows.

"Good God, Mildred, did you see this? You could hear them dogs right through the window!"

Nothing like a vague sentencing range -- 3 to 35 years.

Reminds me of Norm Stewart being asked about an injury to one of his players: "It's somewhere between a sprained ankle and death."

This has got to be a publicity-hound prosecutors wet dream. The chance to be the one to finally take down the ultimate one that got away.
