I probably will, once I get to see the city. :)

Actually, I hope I get to go next summer. I've gotten a lot out of the last two conventions, plus I've never been to Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh rules. I'll be there. Though probably staying with inlaws and not at the hotel, so I'm probably not helping the problem.

And if you really, REALLY read it, I don't think the dude from the Post-Gazette wrote much of it, either. Huge chunks look to be ripped right from the visitors bureau.

Oh, and there's nothing more alluring than "neighborhoods galore that hark to Pittsburgh's patchwork of immigrants."

    I'm so there. :D

What, you don't seek out random neighborhoods when visiting a new town? :)

Pittsburgh! We keep people who look different and talk funny in their place!

OK, so, in Hoppes' case, you get what you pay for....

...and what you deserve in a 15-minute response to the question, "can you give me some thoughts on the city?"

Much to my chagrin, that story quoted me accurately and far too completely. Being the old (46), washed-up hack that i am, guess there goes my future in PR and marketing, too. By now, i should know better than to have any thoughts, huh?

I enjoyed it and thought you did the city proud.

I don't know how anyone could try to sell us Pittsburgh without mentioning Primanti Bros.

Nothing goes better with an I.C. Light at 2 a.m.

Do they still have the all-night clubs downtown? I remember going there in the 1980s. One time, I came stumbling out of one at 8 a.m. It was blindingly bright, I bumped into some guy who was going to work. I said, "Sorry, lost you in the sun."

Tribune is only allowing LA and Chicago to go, I'm hearing.
