    March 22.

Hmmmmm...do I need to take into account the hour we'll lose for Daylight Saving on March 9?

I'll go even earlier and say March 20, between 9-11 p.m. EST.

after the millionth post can we get a sign like McDonald's "1 million posts served"?

  4. Wonder where we'd be if you counted the deleted threads/posts.

    1.5 million?

If you counted everything dating back to the site's creation in 2001, you'd probably be well over 2 million. Since the switch to this software in August 2004, there have been 1,515,583 posts and counting.

From August 2004 until June 2006, posts were routinely deleted after 90 days to save server space. Once we made the switch to a new server in the Fall of 2006, this was no longer an issue.

So really, there have been 966,000 posts since June 11, 2006 or thereabouts.

Perhaps a Boom-to-English translation for the lucky millionth poster?
