I'm all for peaceful public protest, yada yada, but there are really good reasons why pedestrians are not allowed on interstate highways.

 

I agree with you, and have no sympathy for the protesters who have gotten run over after running onto interstates or pounding on cars.
In this case, however, the interstate was apparently blocked off and the guy went around barricades. Maybe it was a matter of time before something bad happened -- this was the 19th day in a row that protesters have been on I-5 -- but it appears Kelete was reckless.
