10046783 -- Newsperson sought who will be a linchpin in coverage of China, helping set the agenda with the bureau chief and news editor and guiding other reporters to produce competitive, broad-ranging coverage. The job’s emphasis is on producing big-picture, captivating, prize-worthy stories, alongside distinctive spot news reporting. The reporter will work closely with other reporters and TV and photos and contribute to online interactives and social media.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence as a reporter, with at least 8 years full-time professional journalism experience.

The ideal candidate has proven experience reporting on China, investigative skills, a knack for source-driven reporting and an understanding of multi-format journalism. The candidate must be able to generate projects independently and be comfortable working as part of a team. Fluency in Chinese is highly desired and in English is a must.....Check the AP jobs website for info
