Anyone in Memphis, Nashville, Little Rock or surrounding areas?

I have a freakishly high tolerance for such things.

 

Like tired driving?

 

I plan on being in one of those cities for the night of December 5th or 6th.

 

The boredom and tedium that comes with such adventures.

It really wasn't that bad.

 

How many miles?

 

I did Halifax NS to Toronto non-stop three years ago.

2000 kilometres, 1200 miles. 19 hours. Stopped for gas and MacDonald's.

And I'm a helluva lot older than you guys.

 

Impressive, especially for a Canadian.

I routinely drive 800-plus miles on the first day of my trips up North, which are usually about 1,200 miles. I don't mind the 12 or so hours of driving because it allows me to get where I'm going early enough the second day that I can enjoy pretty much an entire day once I get there.

 

I did 1,000 miles one day, Belle Fourche, S.D., to South Bend, Ind. 16 hours. Would've been shorter had it not been for late-Friday traffic in Chicago.

 

Mayfly, congrats on the new job. Hope you make it to your destination given that ambitious driving schedule.

 

I drove Little Rock to Nashville and back in the same day once.

 

Dude ... I'd have stayed in Nashville.
