Anyone here missing a baby?

as the parent of a beautiful three-week old baby i have mixed feelings about this. i can't comprehend how anyone could abandon a newborn baby.

that said, the people who abandoned newborn babies at hospitals and fire stations are probably doing it a favor, kind of. not so much in the act of abandoning, but in the act of relinquishing parental responsibilities.

BAY SHORE, N.Y. (AP) -- Suffolk County police have arrested a Long Island woman and her boyfriend on charges of leaving an 18-month-old baby in a car while they went into a bar.
Investigators say a woman noticed the baby locked inside the car alone and called police.
Police arrived and found 19-year-old Ruth Campos and 21-year-old Chyan Gilbert inside a nearby bar.
Both are being held on charges of endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators say the child was in the car for at least half an hour and doesn't appear to be injured.
The child's mother left the baby with Campos while visiting relatives in upstate New York.

 

I read the entire thing assuming it was their kid.

No money no babysitter, she couldn't keep a job
She tried to sell crack, but ended up getting robbed
So now what's next, there ain't nothin left to sell
So she sees sex as a way of leavin hell
It's payin the rent, so she really can't complain
Prostitute found slain, and Brenda's her name, she's got a baby
