Anyone else get a letter from the OPM? (Office of Personnel Management)

    Yeah, I'm a federal employee w/ a clearance so I've gotten several of them the past couple months. All signed up for the monitoring.

    Heck, I used to have my SSN on my checks. I can't worry about someone stealing it now!

    I have health insurance through Anthem, so I got caught up in their data breach earlier this year. They had a special phone line set up so you could call and see what personal information was specifically accessed. So I call, am on hold for awhile and a woman comes on the line and says, all happy, "I have good news!" Of course, I thought that meant my SSN was safe. No. She was "very pleased" to let me know that none of my medical information was breached. "Just" my SSN, name, address and date of birth. Gee, thanks.
