Anybody own a scooter?

I'm considering buying a scooter in the next week or so. I'm hoping it will save a ton on gas and still get me where I need to go around town (although I really should bike more). There's a TNG dealership that opened here in the last year and am considering their Venice. I also have friends who own Yahama Vinos. Anybody here have any information on scooters? What's good, what's bad, what you like, what you don't, what you recommend? Thanks.

Whatever you do, don't get a cheap Chinese one. Anything goes wrong, there's no fixing them.

Stick with brand names. Get a Vespa.

I prefer this one. Got a problem? Call The Scooter Store.

    That's a sweet wwwsite.

Not only will you be cooler, you'll save about 3k roughly over buying a 2008-9 model.

    Piaggio MP3, in three displacements: 250cc, 4000cc and 500cc.

Why? Because of the looks you'll get:

I'm told the two-wheel front end is better in wet conditions and more stable over all.

Personally, I think they're ripping off the Can-Am Spyder motorcycle:

That hideous scooter doesn't change the fact Paul Weller is the man.
