Anybody live near the Newark aiport? HC would love a visit. :)

  1. The old People's Express days were indeed a nightmare at Newark.

But I think you need to lighten up a little bit on the place. It's not the worst in the country, not even close.

I'd put LaGuardia, Midway, Philly, Miami, Kansas City and possibly Detroit on the list of the worst.

We'll probably drive to NYC for the big party.

The other thing is she's doing a weeklong opera workship that starts at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow.

And then in the afternoon, she has to go to her regular job.

I spent a night in JFK once--but I was about 22 years aold --that's before the age of jet travel. :)

I'm 20 minutes from Newark Airport. Can't miss it. Just follow the column of smoke and flames from the holiday barbecue.

Detroit, old -- yes. Detroit, new -- not even close.

I'm just sorry that I saw this too late... :-\

  10. That's why I said possibly, Slappy.

It all depends on which terminal you're using. McNamara? Splendid. Smith? An outdated sewer.

She made it back to TO at 8:00 this morning. Caught a couple of hours sleep in the food court and another half hour or so on the plane.

And now she's off to rehearsal

On People's Express flights you paid on the plane. They actually rolled a big mechanical cash register down the aisle at 30,000 feet.
