Anybody know how to restore a Galaxy back to Gingerbread?

I love my Galaxy phone but hate Ice Cream Sandwich. I've read that I can downgrade back (preferably without rooting) but I'm totally lost.

I have the Epic 4G touch for Sprint, and since ICS went into effect I've lost my two best apps (one records calls, the other lets me tether from my unlimited 3G). All kinds of other bugs. Battery life not as good. Sometimes the end call button doesn't pop up where it's supposed to and I have to restart the whole effing phone. I could go on...

Anybody out there have any luck trying to mess with this?

What does Gingerbread have to do with any of this?

In a related issue, how do I restore a Fairlane back to Care Bear?

Everything worked fine with the Gingerbread OS. Phone went bad after an over-the-air update to Ice Cream Sandwich over the summer.

It was a joke by Moddy about a poster named gingerbread. Never mind.

This thread title would read as complete nonsense a few years ago. Now it's a valid question. It's strange how technology now changes our vocabulary at breakneck speed.

Still read as nonsense to me.

Sure, but being able to record calls (even while using a bluetooth headset when you're driving) and having nearly unlimited access to a wireless hotspot are useful tools, no?

You've really lost me. When I read the OP, I had no idea you were referring to a cell phone or what the fuck Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich were (aside from delicious). That's what Brian and I are saying.

    My head hurts.
