Anybody here fairly determined to stay off Facebook?

Not on it, no real desire to join. Have a personal website for career and where old friends find me.

And, don't have time at home to get on the computer because the wife's always on...Facebook.

Linkedin sounds more appealing. Some old friends from college who have risen pretty high in their fields are on Linkedin. One of them is in government and has some pretty heavy-duty 'classified clearance'... If it's safe and good enough for him, maybe that wouldn't be so bad??

I don't really want to 'chat.'

    I chat with you people!

There are some old friends I'd love to reconnect with... and some I'd like to say 'hi' to but don't want to reconnect with, kwim? And I wouldn't want them to get offended.

Never been on facebook. Can't imagine why I'd want to go there.

That's cool. LinkedIn is very professional.

Not a lot of horseplay, chatting, posting drunk pictures or sending pieces of flair.

    What Buck said.

Just don't see any reason for it.

    Most. Predictable. Take. Evar.

If Tom Seaver had a Facebook page, you'd be on, old man.

My company made me register for Facebook...I'm glad they did. It's amazing the random people that find you....people I haven't seen or heard from in years.

Two of my new "friends" had been in prison for years.....they're out now and both seem to be doing good, at the least they have access to a computer. ;D

Granny, there's an ignore, right? And ignore is better than a rejection?

Ignore leaves open the possibility I was just too busy/flooded with friend requests and creates a big limbo-gray area.

    What crap! ;D

And for those of you who think you're 'young and hip' for being on Facebook... My grandmother's on it. Her dog is on it.

That would be awesome if it happened.
