Anybody following the Bernie Ward case?

For the last two nights, Michael Savage has spent an awful lot of time talking about Bernie Ward, the liberal talk show host who was arrested on child pornography charges.
    Savage's two main points:
1). There is not the same level of outrage from the media directed at Ward as there was at Larry Craig.
2). Ward may have done something worse than downloading child pornography, but the San Francisco police and child protective services are not investigating because somebody (he seems to be saying it's Barbara Boxer) put pressure on those agencies not to investigate.
Has anybody followed this case and know if there's anything to what Savage is saying?

It's downright scary that there are people who take Savage seriously.

Second, third, eighteenth that. Literally to God you can get a more rational worldview staying tuned to an Art Bell marathon.

I don't see anyone here rushing to defend Bernie Ward.

Craig, meanwhile, remains an elected United States Senator who wasn't elected to take on the role of Self-Loathing, Obfuscating Hypocrite In Denial. U. S. Senators need to do -- and be -- better than that.

The talk radio-bar is set far lower, as we've heard so amply demonstrated, the past fifteen years or so. Talk radio is there to make money, and if a crank can find an audience, more power to him/her.

I've never heard of this guy. Savage is a schmuck and a half though.

I'd be interested to hear more about Boxer obstructing justice, though.

I just checked the White Rose Society (a who's who of progressive talkers) and got not one trace of a Bernie Ward.

    Next?

    Anything substantive, yes.

You can certainly hear more conspiracy theories on Savage's show than on Bell's.

  12. But they're not as much fun.
