Headed to Jacksonville in the next few days...I heard a ton of shit about the city during the Super Bowl a few years ago, but I've seen a few excellent location threads and I was hoping some posters could shine some light on hidden gems.

Remember, it's Boom --- he can't spell shit.

BB, if you have a mountain bike check out Hanna Park in Jacksonville Beach.

In fact ... check out Jacksonville Beach. Good place just to hang out.

Anheuser-Busch has a brewery on the north shore of the St. John's River, if you've a mind for the brewery tour and tasting. Jacksonville Landing (also north shore, but downtown) was modeled after Baltimore's Inner Harbor district.

They remodeled the minor-league baseball park downtown (next to Municipal Stadium) a few years ago, but I haven't been there since the remodel. The Suns are mired in the back half of the Southern League's Southern Division, though.

Be sure to sing some Limp Bizkit at the top of your lungs while reading Gene Frenette...

Not sure what will make you feel worse.
