    One thing I will add to this, and my wife and I took this into consideration when looking for daycare for Lil 93, we went with a daycare with a full staff and not a single person.

    The reason for the full staff... safety in numbers. And if one person is physically sick, it does not make you scramble for more daycare. If one person is mentally sick, there are people there to stop them.

    In my daughter's daycare there are about 10 staff members on sire at any one time.

    And wealth and location are factors in this story, IMHO.

    In Richmond there was a child cooked to death in a daycare van because the driver forgot about them and went to go get stoned. It was about 100 that day and the child was left in the van the entire day.

    I am unsure if that child was old enough to call for "mommy" or not, but I am guessing not too many people here heard about that story.
