I just saw a very funny movie -- Alien Autopsy. It's too complicated to explain fully, but basically it's a fictional account of the staging of the Alien Autopsy movie hoax. Or is it?

At any rate, it's very funny.

Little Miss Sunshine is the best movie of the year.

Stranger than Fiction the most overrated movie I've seen

    Bobby is equally bad.

The Departed's last shot is ridiculous, but so is most of the script. There's other threads about that elsewhere.

For some reason, I love talking/singing animal movies.

Saw The Prestige with Mrs. Novelist last week and it was excellent. I'm thinking about Babel right now. May be a matinee tomorrow.

The Queen is very well done. Helen Mirren is fabulous dealing with the ridiculous Duke of Earl.

I didn't get to the movies this weekend, so I'm still waiting to see 'Running with Scissors' and 'Marie Antoinette.'

When you quote yourself, it's kinda like Rickey being Rickey.

    Saw The Prestige yesterday.

    Tremendous film.

Did Rotten Tomatoes go out of business?

"funnier than Dane Cook." honestly, saw The Good Shepherd last week, a little slow, intentionally humorless, and it's still funnier than Dane Cook. the closing credits -- a rolling scroll of largely anonymous people -- were funnier than Dane Cook.

I know it's late, but finally got around to seeing the DaVinci Code...
I enjoyed it a lot (am a Catholic, but had no issue wiith the fantasy premise)...

Another plug for Little Miss Sunshine. Just fantastic.

Dreamgirls is an exceptionally well-done musical. Breakout role for Jennifer Hudson, really strong performance by Eddie Murphy.

Best movie musical since Grease but it has a lot more depth.
