That's terrible, and very frightening to even imagine.

Awful story. I really don't know how some of those kids sleep at night knowing what has happened there.

Tragedies happen everywhere. It just takes time to heal all wounds -- both physical and emotional.

Students in Texas no longer have to look up at the tower and wonder if there's a sniper up there.

So this guy, in a public setting, had time to cut the victim's head off with a knife.

I'm guessing that, unless he's got a goddamn battle axe, that's something that you couldn't do in one cut.

How the fuck does he not get stopped and have the ever-loving shit beat out of him by the other people in the restaurant?

Because he's got a knife and he's cutting off someone's head?

Well yeah, and I know shouldn't be questioning people's actions in a situation like that but that still seems odd.

  11. Nobody else went up in the Tower a year or so after Whitman did.
    Bad example.

The victim only arrived at Va Tech two weeks ago, so I would guess the backdrop on this goes back to China.
