Another premature pro wrestling death

I've read the WWE "Wellness Policy." It's not fit to be toilet paper.

Here's the dirty little secret. Vince McMahon has his wrestlers work as independent contractors so any of their drug use and abuse can't be traced back to him. Oh, he and his family and their confidants will advise wrestlers to get on the juice, but once busted, since they're
"independent contractors" all WWE will do is shrug their shoulders while pointing to that joke of a policy and ignore the blood on their hands.

Can't disagree with you on that. Unfortunately, it's going to be something like that which will ultimately put Vince in front of Congress to speak for the numerous deaths that have occurred over the past several years.

I've never read WWE's "Wellness Policy," but wrestlers are getting suspended left and right and many are doing it to the point where they then receive an automatic ban from WWE (i.e. Chris Masters).

One random, interesting bit about Cena's injury is that he dropped weight during his recovery (he's now billed at 240 instead of 250-ish).

I'm not saying he's not roiding up by any means, but it is possible that he recovered quickly because (A) it may not have been as serious as the WWE made it to be, simply to build up the 'good guy overcoming the odds' or (B) he knew exactly what exercises/lifts he needed to perform to regain strength, worked his ass off and came back when his neck was simply OK enough to do his basic repertoire. He wasn't much of a risk-taker to begin with, but he has stayed earthbound more since his return, top-rope legdrop notwithstanding.

Ever since their 3-hour tribute to Chris Benoit right after he died but before the circumstances of what he did aired, I bet they don't want to do too much right now.

And how do we stop them from doing it? We don't. We won't. You gonna stop watching?

It's going to take every guy in the biz to go Norma Rae, get lawyers and straight-up unionize. And that will never, ever happen. McMahon has built his empire. He's made himself the only game in town (the only serious one, anyhow). He's got all the power to do it however he wants, and he's completely protected from anyone who does the drugs to get to his company's level, but can't stop it/stop themselves from doing it to stay there.

While WWE seemingly does nothing to prevent their superstars of of taking 'roids, and their "Wellness Policy" is bias, it looks like it'll be only a matter of time before Congress steps in to do a more thorough investigation.

The dark days of WWE will be coming soon.

So how many of the "top rope" and ECW-style fighters are dropping?

How many of the non-flyers are still with us?

    Is there a trend here?

People have been saying that for years.

With each premature death, the drumbeat gets a little louder, but if a former world champion wrestler still on the company payroll murdering his wife and child before hanging himself isn't enough to put an immediate kibosh on things, then it ain't going to change any time soon.
