Drew, what ever happened to having the freeze on that one other position lifted?

 

We thought it might be lifted in January, but they are holding off. One of the textile plants in town is leaving, so that's killing about 1,000+ jobs and the higher ups are worried how it will effect circulation numbers. I think it's a joke. The position was included in the budget and it's not like all of those people were subscribers. I think once the dust clears on that, we might get the OK.

Trust me, I'm not happy about it. :

 

And Drew, the second-hardest working man in the ACC gets screwed again. Poor guy.

 

Any news on this one?

 

How can any one live on 20-25 grand a year? Is the cost of living really that cheap?

 

It's called the occasional nugget of OT (don't know Danville's policy on this) and freelancing on the side.

My first gig out of school found me making about $24k living in the northeast. Fortunately I was collecting another $5k in stringing money to pay the bills.

 

You can do it in that area, especially if you are single with no dependents.

 

And who doesn't like NASCAR?

 

Drew, er, Ray, any update on this one for the young folks lurking (of which I am not one)?

 

We've brought a few people in, but nothing has come of it for reasons out of our hands.
