I think it will be interesting:
    1) Who else jumps to the .coms, what kind of arms race this becomes and,
    2) Who is hired to fill those lost, high-profile spots at the major print shops. I get the feeling we'll see a lot of fresh faces in high places in the print world

IF what I'm hearing is true, the next one is biggggggggggg.
The Pipeline is hard at work.

Maybe it's me, but I don't think these are SEs just making a move for money. I have a feeling these SEs are seeing that 5-10 years now, the sports journalism landscape will look entirely different than it does now.

If i could tease something ... we have an interesting interview tomorrow.

Selling ESPN-branded content to newspapers? That's an interesting idea.

Well, The Pipeline takes pride in its accuracy and this one is NOT done yet and may not be (but probably will be).
IF - emphasis on IF - it does happen, it is a rock the newspaper world move.

Well Moddy, if it's who i think you're talking about, i don't know about 'rocking' the newspaper world. This board, definitely. Please do start a new thread when it happens, and I'd say the over/under is 8 pages - within 48 hours.

If it's not done, how close to done is it?

Not sure, wicked, that's what I'm checking now.
Newspaper sports world, TBL, is what I mean. That's what we deal with on this site.

Eight pages in 48 hours? How about two hours?

I'm shocked — shocked! — nobody has posted a list of possible contenders Moddy and TBL are discussing.
