    Chris Iott bids farewell this weekend after taking a buyout. The former Jackson Citizen-Patriot sports editor has contributed here from time to time, and was (is) one of the good guys in Michigan sports media:

    It's supposed to be Eye-Ott. But it's been butchered to Eye-It.

    Actually, just use "Lott" and I'll know you're talking to me. At least 75 percent of the people who sent resumes to me addressed me as Chris Lott. At some point it became so common that I quit holding it against them.

    Wow. Interviewed for a job with Chris several years ago. Things didn't pan out, but was real impressed by him.

    Hope he's leaving on his own terms and that brighter days are ahead in whatever path he chooses to follow.
