Saw an AP story about Penn State potentially facing an accreditation crisis over the Sandusky scandal. Bad as that mess is, that angle still seems a bit removed from the academic side of the university.
This, though ... this strikes at the core of the academic mission of North Carolina. If this stuff is all proven by the NCAA, any chance UNC loses its accreditation?

 

We know that. You're taking those posts too seriously. But I can assure you that won't stop Illinois and Michigan State fans from claiming they're the rightful national champs.

BTW, this could really get fun if the academic fraud is shown to stretch all the way back to their 93 championship (which is not out of the question). Their opponent in 93? Michigan's Fab 5 who had their wins vacated that year for Chris Webber's shenanigans. Wouldn't that be cool? The vacated vs. vacated championship game.
