Anyone else gonna be on the sidelines tomorrow?

Temperature tomorrow in Boston: 44, mostly sunny. Not as nice as last year, when I should've worn shorts on the sidelines, but tolerable nonetheless.

We've only got two teams in the area left.

And they're both playing in Louisville.

Although I may drive to my old stomping grounds (Frankfort, KY) to watch Frankfort High play Beechwood High. Both teams are 11-1 and it should be a good game.

Never been any factor down here. Philly has some, but even that's dying slowly with them getting involved with state playoffs.

Oh, yeah ... Easton is still holding onto its Phillipsburg game.

Please, it's not like Pennsylvania is home to real football. :D

In all seriousness, when I lived down there, that was the one tradition I missed -- covering an AM game, getting myself some time away from the folks, then spending the night with family.

I think I'm up to having covered/attended six different Thanksgiving series in my day... a few of them dead, a few long-running.

No turkey day games in the Land of Lincoln. State finals get underway on Friday and Saturday. Four games each day in Champaign.

Holy crap, I had no idea they played HS football on Thanksgiving.

    Yikes.

I knew, but they don't do it out where I am. State semifinals Friday and Saturday, state championships the next weekend.

We've got better things to get to out here ... like, you know, basketball. ;D

I guess I'd missed the other annual threads...or I'd forgotten them in blanking out the Thanksgiving memories.

At least it sounds like the weather will be OK for you, wicked.

Some solace for Lions fans. They get to watch football played at a high level.
