I feel like Jeff Fracouer or however the hell it's spelled.

Count me in the group that either doesn't understand it/doesn't find it funny.

You must be suffering from depression.
How can you not laugh at one of the true all-time classics - so much of that movie shaped culture as well.

I saw Otis Day and the Knights at an official Cotton Bowl New Year's Bash the year Ole Miss won the game.

Coming To America? Good movie, hardly a classic. Holy Grail would be top five on my list.

    Oh my dear lord.

    Yeah, "K-9" is a Top 10 all-time comedy.

The reason I think it's so transcendent is that the film's protagonists mount a multi-faceted attack on the military, wealthy and general upper-class snobbery. It's essentially the kind of underdog film Hollywood is afraid of making these days where the butt of jokes is rarely respectable members of society.

  9. Little known fact: Me and my administration were the inspiration for Dean Wormer and the dirty-trick Deltas.

Good movie, but I'm still waiting on my royalty check.

  10. I KNEW these two threads would somehow cross :)

You need to ask yourself, what was the funniest movie of all time before Animal House came out.

  12. Yeah, I get that. I just think it's tough for me to imagine watching it in 1978, when watching John Belushi swig a whole fifth of Jack Daniels was fresh and new.
