    Think that's because he followed up some dominant prime seasons with a couple shit seasons. Even if he was just decent for about 4-5 more seasons it may have been enough. But he also quickly got out of shape and started getting hurt.

    The year Palmeiro won a Gold Glove while being a full-time DH, everyone should have stopped caring about who wins Gold Gloves.

    The numbers I quoted were from Fangraphs.

    Edmonds was known for playing a very shallow center field. A good example is on the second of his two most memorable catches, vs Houston in the '04 NLCS.

    Isn't this the kind of sweeping generalization based upon a tiny sample size, a potential outlier, you urge people to resist making, in most cases?

    I'm leaning toward no for Cooperstown, but he gave HOF testimony in the Gold Club trial.
