I did try to explain the greatness of the Steelers' defense to my daughter, but she turned back to watching Phineas and Ferb after about a minute and made it clear I would be on the receiving end of a stuffed animal to the face if I interrupted her again.

You should have waited until Cory in the House was on.

That, too. After I realized the site was down, after about the 1,025th hit to the "refresh", I said, "Well, crap, what the hell am I supposed to do now?"

Phineas and Ferb is a pretty cool little show. The nine-year-old stepson watches it on Saturday mornings, and I invariably end up being drawn in by the simple concept of how two boys will spend their Summer vacation. Genius.

I'm not a father, but having grown up with a younger sister, I'm fairly confident this is a sign of things to come from now thru her 22nd birthday.

  7. Yeah, yeah.

I sent out a couple of internet resumes, but I also sent out some paper resumes.

You got to do, what you got to do to get a job again in this business.

That's my guess, too. She did perk up while I was watching a game last year, but that was only because she heard me refer to Troy Polamalu and thought I was talking about Troy Bolton.
