Same here. He's kind of the best player in that backfield, not Bomar, who was erratic at best.

Halzle looked horrible in the spring game. I'd rather start Thompson because he has experiance. And it's not like Bomar was that much better then Thompson anyway. They were both at the same level of talent. As for Halzle......well he just sucks.

  3. Oklahoma threw off its startin QB because of a no-show job?
There has to be more to this than, you know, ethics.

In my opinion, he's the best running back in the nation.

College players are paid for hours not worked. Sports writers work hours for which they are not paid. We're on the wrong side of the equation, methinks.

Funny side story: A fan on an OU message board was trying to raise money to rent a billboard promoting a boycott of the dealership that employed the two OU players. Thing is, the guy who owned the dealership then has already sold it, and the new owners are trying to do some serious damage control. Even after finding that out, a lot of the fans don't care.

The best damage control would be to either change the name of the dealership, or get 200 of your good friends, hand them all a key and start a pilgramage to Austin, Texas, where you can re-open the car dealership there.
