There should have been -- an alternative that didn't suck.

Instead, the ending consisted of: "Well, this movie has gone on long enough, so let's slap together some feel-good shit and wrap it up."

Sorry, but if a movie is based on the life of a real person, but can't be bothered to even pay cursory attention to actual facts, it's not a good movie.

Also, on a scale of 1 to 10, how douchey is Sorkin's screenplay?

It pays pretty close attention to the facts from Walter Isaacson's bio of Jobs.

So, they're both full of lies?

What were you talking about originally when you said it's not true?

One big scene is Wozniak and Jobs in a public screaming match. It never happened, at least not in the way depicted. Also, I don't know how Steve Jobs really was in private and don't know if I buy the way he's depicted in conversations with people behind the scenes here. So I don't know if I buy the truth of it but I buy the reality of it.

I don't know. My hunch is you're better at predicting sports than Oscars.

I hadn't heard anything about Spotlight before.

Me neither, but the screenshot alone made me want to see it. I'm enjoying Keaton's resurgence, even if I didn't totally love Birdman, and Ruffalo is always solid.
