    I saw the movie this weekend and thought it was beautiful. There were a couple of scenes and characters that seemed entirely unnecessary. The technical shortcomings were more than made up for by the fact that you could tell this one came from the heart. I love how Spike Lee does unorthodox things with the camera. It's weird enough that you notice, but not weird enough that you say he shouldn't have done it. I've always considered him to be an outstanding filmmaker, but this is the first time I've seen evidence of genius.

    Forgot about Inside Man... Outstanding film. Probably his best movie since X or maybe even Do The Right Thing.

    Spike had about a 10-year stretch where everything he touched turned to shit. That includes the New York Knicks. :)
