    It drives people to newspaper sites. It shows people they can get the news faster, making said newspaper the media outlet of choice.

    If you continue to think newspapers will only survive based on what is in print, you are worse than the "morons" who buy them.

    Agree wholeheartedly, mustangj17.

    I started out in broadcasting and quickly grasped the importance of immediacy and competitive instinct. In fact, I got a rush out of getting a story on the air quickly, accurately and before my competitors. Can't explain why, but it was, well, a rush.

    When I slid into print, those characteristics seemed to tranfer well to multi-platforms.

    I guess what I'm getting at is I don't want to wait to report, and I don't want to wait to read.
