Well, that and there's nothing left to see.

If I ran a tour of a newspaper, I'd sing "This Used To Be My Playground" all the time. and yes. I now realize it's about heroin use.

Also on that list is Ruth Ryon, who writes the widely popular "Hot Property" column in Real Estate.

Damn, man, I can understand some people accepting buyouts — but Norwood??!?

AND SONIA FREAKING NAZARIO? Enrique's Journey was one of the best stories I've ever read — she won a Pulitzer in
    '03 for it — and she's gone?

    Wow. What a time.

It's the people with options who are the second-most likely to take buyouts (the first-most likely being those who are old enough to retire anyway).

The people who are very good and like their chances outside the Times more than inside it (for a fulfilling occupation and a happy workplace), shoot, it makes sense for them to go. And you never know when a well-employed spouse or a wise savings plan or an emptied nest or a timely inheritance changes the paycheck game for some of these folks.

If you can afford to get out, get out now! If you can't afford to get out, get out anyway!

(OK, that's overstating it. But not my much.)

Well, I would think there are some places out there that would give a Pulitzer winner a look.

There's one on northbound La Cienega, just north of the 10 fwy.

But what if you aren't one of the Pulitzer winners? What do you do?
Should you already have been looking for jobs? Do you get unemployment?

The billboards are a great strategy... until the next 7.0 rolls through the valley...
