And Kevin Spacey goes to my boycott list.

  1. Nope.
It was a William Casey Production of an Ollie North film from the original story by Manucher Ghorbanifar.

    Islamabad?
Not if you keep your religion in perspective.
    Thank you.
    I'll be here all week.

Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia. Surely this talk of selling arms to Eastasia is the work of Goldstein's agents. Pay it no mind, comrade.

  5. Let's turn the tables on this:

Why do you care if he doesn't want to patronize Spacey's movies?

If he said he isn't buying Ann Coulter's books anymore, would you be as apopletic?

But all four of those cities are part of our alliance against the Axis of E-ville.

Bush-Cheney energy policies screw the Northeast. If Hugo and Little Stevie Carell from Iran want to sell my neck of the woods cheaper oil, they have a customer.
Might not be the best week for Kev to come out.

Hardly apoplectic, Lyman. Just curious as to why Chavez is the recipient of so much fear and scorn at a time when we have real enemies in the world.

Cause he is a real enemy.

It was noted that the entire visit was closed to the public. For all we know Spacey sat in the room talking about cigars and porn or human rights. As to why… I’m guessing it has something to do with the new movie studio setup.

I would guess that Sean Penn’s visit has more to do with being contrarian to a president he dislikes.

You left out the part about Chavez having absolutely no weapons pointed at the US. But yeah, oil is the equivalent.

    In what way has he
    a) attacked us?
    b) hurt our economy?
    c) threatened the lives of citizens?

The guy doesn't like Bush and he's a dick to his own people. That hardly makes him an "enemy."

C'mn Pastor. "The guy doesn't like Bush."
    That makes him an enemy!

  12. I'm not hearing an unusual amount of fear and scorn about Chavez in general. But if you look at what he's doing in Venezuela and don't see parallels to what happened in Cuba 50 years ago, you might need to take another look.

Then again, Hollywood fawned over Castro for years, so I guess this isn't a surprise.
