Goo point, F_B, but the IOC picks the site of the Games, not the US.

no - it's Dick Ebersole that picks the site.

  3. And we've twisted our domestic politics into a knot over Castro for 50 years and it's produced nothing except a shortage of good cigars.
And, of course, the United States and its television networks and its major corporations wield no influence at all, and most of the latter, of course, will refrain from participating.
Here's some work fromLatin American dictators with whom Saint Ronnie -- a more significant figure than Kevin Spacey, I think we'd all agree -- had nothin' but the deepest love. (The guy who said they'd probably tried to run a roadblock is working for THIS administration, by the way.)

  9. Actually, he did.
They got released on the day Ronnie got inaugurated because the Iranian were flipping the bird to Carter, who'd frozen all their US assets. Reagan, of course, brilliantly sold them missiles in return.

That being the case, would you have started a thread if Spacey had gone to Moscow on the occasion of a new film studio opening there? Riyadh? Bahrain? Islamabad?
