Cozy one-bedroom flat in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England:

    A cool $400,000 US.

This is 35 miles outside of central London.

My wife just got back from a five-day business trip to England today, and she stayed at a Hilton not terribly far from where this is (maybe 30 miles south, but still about 35 miles outside of London as well) and her very small room in a Hilton was more than $300 a night. And her round-trip coach ticket was $2,100, even with a 21-day advance purchase. The American dollar just sucks right now -- thank God it was on her company's dime.

Yeah, but it is a freehold flat.
