Currently, "The Good Wife" has one distinguished cast:

    -- Juliana Marguiles, "ER"
-- Chris Noth, "Law & Order" and "Sex and the City"
    -- Josh Charles, "Sports Night"
-- Christine Baranski, "Cybill" (and one hell of a Broadway career)
-- Alan Cumming, "The L Word" (and one hell of a Broadway career and, of course, "X2")
-- Mary Beth Peil, "Dawson's Creek" (and several good movie roles, including "Mirror" and "Flags of the Fathers")

No problem Spike. It was a great show that ran on Starz. Both season are on DVD and both are great. Every ep has someone well-known as a guest star.

And don't forget Marilu Henner's star turn in "Johnny Dangerously." (She also played Burt Reynolds' wife on "Evening Shade").

And those were just his girlfriends! There's also Mariska Hargitay, Megan Mullaly, Michael Chiklis, French Stewart, Laurence Tierney, Regis and Kathie Lee (already famous), Wendy Malick, Catherine Keener, Christine Taylor (Mrs. Ben Stiller), Peter Krause and Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston!!

That casting director was amazing. His name was Marc Hershfield, I believe. I'm such a Seinfeld nerd.

The great thing about St. Elsewhere was that the actors who played the main characters (Begley, Daniels, Mandel, Washington, Morse, Pickles, Lloyd, Flanders, Furst) were there throughout the entire show, or almost all of it. Most of the other shows mentioned here had a revolving cast and many of Jerry's girlfriends only appeared for an episode or two.

With St. Elsewhere, you got Denzel, Morse, Begley, Mandel, Daniels, Flanders, et all every single week.

Threshold (CBS/2005) a sci-fi show had this cast:

    Board favorite Carla Gugino
    Brian Van Holt (Cougar Town)
    Charles S. Dutton
    Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones)
    Brent Spiner (Star Trek)

Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) and Catherine Bell (JAG) were guest stars.
