  1. $400 bucks a week, baby (That’s what I made when I worked for an independent in Saskatchewan). Canadian. By the time you take the tax off, you are looking at about $320 clear, or $4/hour. Rent's likely cheap though because, well....

    Aside from the obvious conflict...

    If you were able to sell advertising that well, you would be better off starting your own newspaper.

    Obviously not or it would have mentioned the oodles of overtime you could earn.

    I know, Ace. I should have used the blue font. I pulled many a 55-hour week at my last daily, even though I was salaried at 40 hours and didn't earn overtime.

    I feel your pain, AllAll. I'd happily be stuck to a 9-5 routine.
