  1. If you think you have it bad down there...we Canucks got nothin' on ya...

I found this when browsing one of our job boards tonight. I died a little inside after reading it.

    I want to cry.

  2. I think you meant that we Americans got nothing on you Canucks ...

    But yes, that's horrible.

It's not often I do a doubletake when reading. Excuse me while I vomit and cry at the same time.

You need some nature's aspirin. Remember people will always need electricity.

The real sad news is the Vermin probably won't lack for applicants.

    NoTalent, who owns that rag?

  7. True that. I'm still in shock, I guess.

Sadly, happens in radio all the time.

  10. As far as I can tell, it's an independent. It doesn't have a webpage.

Yeah, I just did some searching and came to the same conclusion.

I found an old ad on Gaulin (from December) where they were looking for an assistant managing editor - at the same pay they're offering for this job.

In other depressing Canadian media news, Osprey Media has decided to lay off three copy editors at the Chatham Daily News in Ontario. Pagination will now be done in Sarnia, which is also where telephone classified customers in my region (far to the north) are now being funnelled.

That's nothing. The San Fran Chronicle out-sourced an advertorial tab to a company in India. Writing, editing and paginating. All the Chronicle people did was approve the layouts and the stories.
So at least the Canuckleheads kept the work in Canada
