She lost a lot of weight after people were calling her fat. She shrugged if off, but that -- plus her drinking -- signals a young woman struggling with a lot of issues. I hope she has a lot of fight in her. I like her.

 

I listened to about 2 minutes of "Rehab" on XM the other day. Wasn't impressed.

Make all the cracks you want, but she's talented as hell. Sounds like a hip-hop Dusty Springfield. Writes her own stuff. Has a great ear. I'm all about it.

 

I agree with you 100%; "Rehab" is one of my most-played songs.

 

Hip-hop?

 

Me too. The whole album is excellent.

I still think she's hot. There's something about her that is really sexy.

 

Hip hop in the same sense that Mary J. Blige is hip hop. She doesn't rap, but you can hear it in the horns, in the beat, in the way she sings. I know this is sacrilege in some places and it's WAY too early, but she's kinda reminds of James Brown with breasts.
