American Music Awards

Anyone watching? I'm almost an hour into it, and I think it's a pretty good show. I forgot how much I love Janet Jackson, and yes, she was lip synching, but she's consistent. Shakira was great, and while I'm not a big country fan, that Keith Urban song was catchy.

I'm just happy that I know most of the songs in my old age.

 

Congrats to Michael Jackson for winning all kinds of awards for dying.

 

That was really nice of Jermaine to remember to thank Michael while accepting the award for Michael.

 

And did Jermaine just say that one of the kids he brought on stage was named "Your Majesty" or am I hallucinating?

 

I think Alicia Keys has been singing for about 10 minutes.

 

He's got a kid named Jermajesty. I wish I was kidding.

 

Janet did an excellent job of lip-synching and doing video dance moves from 20 years ago. All while wearing what looked like a Native American costume.

 

Best part, from what I hear...

JLo and Lambert both fell on their respective asses while trying to dance.

 

JLo did fall. And boy was she pissed as she walked off stage. Very funny.

Alicia Keys is one of my favorites. Janet was pretty good. Whitney was OK.

This Adam Lambert guy stinks! Just a god-awful performance, or whatever you'd call it.

And I'm so sick of Taylor Swift....

 

Sonner I agree. Lambert was fucking pathetic and I'm sure the fake blowjobs and kissing of keyboard player will help sell records.

 

I heard there was a man on man kiss. I don't know who Adam Lambert is, but I will not be listening to him ever. That's fucking disgusting. I don't want to see two men kiss on TV.
