Am I crazy? Or is this story walking on thin legal ice?

We all use anonymous sources, but this strikes me as dangerous. The story implies there's an investigation into possible sex crimes but offers absolutely zero reason to believe the legitimacy of the sources.

If anybody can find an example of a reputable newspaper using unidentified sources on such a potentially libelous topic, please include it in your response.

 

Yeah, definitely with a grain of salt. Cretin-Derham Hall, home of Chris Weinke, Steve Walsh and Joe Mauer.

 

First of all, it's Cretin-Derham Hall. They were two schools (Cretin was all-boys military school, Derham was all-girls), they merged in the late 80s.

I have heard nothing about this and I still have some good contacts in the neighborhood. Did something happen? Who knows? But I would take this with a MAJOR grain of salt.

 

All you Minnesotans are so over it, but "Cretin" makes me giggle.

I'd be pretty pissed if I were one of those players. They are young, if something this spiraled out of control it is all many people would know about them.
