Re: Philly TV spokesbabe charged with assault

W-B, I really like you, but they're called anchors and reporters. Not spokespeople. Spokespeople are... well an example: Wilford Brimley is a spokesperson for Diabeetus.

    I fucking hate Wilford Brimley.

  5. Oh good lord, the subject is not my views on TV people and why I don't like being lumped in with them. There isn't a person on this board who doesn't have their own story about getting in the way while you're doing your job. I know a couple I really like and respect, so I'm not prejudiced - I just don't like them being lumped in with me. This thread is just poking fun at one who appears to be a little off.

    Everyone can relax now.

I love Luggies, and she's one of my favorite people, but I'll bet even she would say there's a high percentage of TV "talent," male and female, that fits the "spokesbabe" category on some level more closely than "journalist." Across the board? Of course not.

Anyway, this woman strikes me as having issues.

I get the sneakin' feeling Ms. Lane was the victim and not the aggressor in this deal.

Right. But this is what he said:

    As in 'all of 'em.'

Don't worry, Johnny. I'll post something for her to dissect, and she'll leave you alone right away. :D

Which is why I said, "Across the board? Of course not."
