    I never thought I'd see the great spirited engage in fanboy-type rantings . . . . . . . .

And all this Rollins/Reyes talk neglects shortstop C:

    .320 avg, .378 OBP, 11 HR, 29 RBI, 65 R, .505 SLG, 24 SB.

I'd say Hanley Ramirez has something to be disappointed about.

  3. How about shortstop D, Edgar Renteria?

    .324 avg., .388 OBP, 10 HR, 41 RBI, 53 R, .498 SLG, 7 SB.

Ramirez should be more disappointed by his 15 errors, most of any NL shortstop

Sort of like David Wright starting over Miguel Cabrera.

I think Reyes is a much more disruptive player than Rollins.

And I everlastingly hate anything New York.

Hardy, at best, is the fourth-best SS in the NL.

He simply had two big months.

You ever seen Aaron Boone play first base?

They need to do away with the one team/one rep system. This isn't t-ball, it doesn't have to be fair. It should be the best players, period. Gil Meche won't even see the mound... do you really think there's this huge feeling of satisfaction in KC that one of their guys made the team?

And how the hell did Manny make it? He never wants to play in the game anyways, and when he has a down year and doesn't get in because of the fan vote, he still makes it??

Jimmy Rollins also has 57 percent more errors at short than Reyes (seven to four).

Gil Meche isn't there because the Royals need a rep as much as he deserves it. Meche (3.28 ERA) actually has a lower ERA than Josh Beckett (3.38) with roughly the same ratio strikeouts and walks. Meche also has four complete games and two shutouts; Beckett has three and two this season, respectively. Beckett's got a much better record, though, because he actually gets run support on a consistent basis.

So now you know why Meche will be there. It's because they picked the best players, period, and he's among them.

What, no love for John Buck?

I think Youkilis got screwed. He's a 1B, but can play 3B and is having a better year than Lowell.
Okajima will win the AL internet vote thanks to being japanese and all.
