    Cable's the one who's the timetraveler, right? He's Madelyne Pryor and Cyclops' son, and after being infected by Apocalypse with some virus he's sent into the future by a few thousand years and cured. He eventually comes back to his own tiime and is part of the X-Men.

    I did come awfully close to marrying a massive X-Men fan, so ya know. :D

    I'd do much worse explaining the backstory of, say, the Green Goblin.
