That would be cool…. But I’ll believe it when I hear it from a source who has more Twitter followers that I do.

What a great race. I hated to see Max and Lewis go out, but overall it was really fun to watch. Lots of good action throughout. And, of course, Ricciardo is always fun to watch in interviews, but especially after a race win.

That looked worse at the moment of impact and the halo probably saved Hamilton’s life.

Wow. Great photo. And glad he's wearing a HANS as well.

Fun race. Great result for McLaren. Glad Lewis is OK.

Side note: sports betting became legal here on Thursday. I’m not much of a gambler but figured I’d throw a couple of bets down on the race. Those bets: Lewis to win, Gasly to finish top 6. Lewis takes his first DNF in 60+ races; Gasly wrecks the car in the qualifying sprint and retires a few laps into the race.

This is why I don’t gamble.

The HANS helped Sainz when he crashed head on into the barrier yesterday.

I still don't like the halo. I don't like the canopy on top fuel cars. I don't like rodeo "cowboys" wearing hockey helmets riding bulls.
Clearly I don't want to see anyone get killed, but part of the allure and sexiness of the sport is that these guys are supposed to have more bravado and swagger than the rest of us.
