All Bennigan's Restaurants Closing

Not bad for casual and quick. But this was a surprise...

Wow. That was our go-to restaurant for years after working the night shift. You could get something to eat if you hurried and they would be in no big rush on last calls for alcohol.

 

No...

 

Never liked them, but did frequent them, on occasion, for reasons other than the food. Seems awfully sudden, in any event. I mean, Damon's has encountered the same kind of headwinds, and though that chain will never return to its peak, there are still a handful of Damon's restaurants hanging in there.

 

I remember Bennigan's back in 1991. It's where I went when I celebrated getting a job at the college library.

Sad to see them go.

 

I wonder what they're going to go with all the stuff on the wall...

 

Going to the same junkyard co-owned by Applebee's and TGIF.

 

I really thought they all just robbed a bunch of attics to find wooden snowshoes and stuff.

 

Can't ever recall going to Bennigan's (don't think we have 'em up here in Canuckistan) but Damon's is always my go-to spot on the road in Erie and Saginaw.

 

Oh hamburgers.

 

I'm gonna miss them. They had this one special dish. It was mac and cheese, but they added salsa!

 

They made a mean Monte Cristo.
